Sylvia Broome, M.T.S.

Women and Sex Trafficking/Central Atlanta Community

Sylvia has worked in ministry since 1996. After working with an innovative shelter in New Orleans she realized what can be accomplished when people share life together living as neighbors, rather than a sterile "fixing" model. This experience began to transform the way she approaches life and ministry. Sylvia has been with Church on the Street since 2011 and currently serves as the community facilitator in the Central Atlanta Community focusing primarily on women and sex trafficking. Sylvia has her master's degree in Theological Studies (Christian Ethics) from Columbia Theological Seminary and is available for speaking and training events. At the start of college he was certain that one must earn a lot of money to be a successful adult. After 3 years of miserably doodling his way through business and communications classes, he decided to focus on being happy instead of wealthy. Switching his major and mindset to art, he has been thriving and struggling and pushing and loving ever since.
